Put Me In The Cold

Published by

(The poem is a depiction of people going through death-like physical pain especially when they are unwell)

Put me in the cold

Beneath there, will I retreat,

Storms don’t seem to

Assuage this scorching heat

Wearied, my journey,

Overtired are my feet,

I now need the chill,

Cist me into the freeze

Forlorn smile, my form,

Naught, just a mask of agony

Ready me a casket,

Frosty mother waits for me

Oh! This wait seems too long,

Death too punishes, for it cheats,

Lower me in the cold

For it’s really what I need
